Vegan in Philly

It’s so exciting to travel to a new city and discover their vegan food. Last week I took a trip  to Philly and stopped at some great restaurants. Loving Hut was an interesting hippy restaurant (apparently its also a chain with 120 locations) with disoriented staff, vegan signs & images, but somehow they were able to create a pretty tasty lunch for 2  – $20 for Quinoa Salad + Sandwich + Veggie Roll.

Then for dinner we stopped at Earth Bread Brewery, a 2 yr old restaurant run by a wonderful vegetarian couple. Their menu has a great selection of absolutely delicious vegan flatbread pizzas.

This is Randy, my travel companion and a dear friend, holding up the menu that has a beer dedicated to him “Antibody Pale Ale”. It’s best to just post what it says. “Randy __, a friend of the earth, and is in remission from Lupus and battling kidney failure. Randy cannot drink, but proceeds from this beer will help him with his struggles”.  The owners of this place are truly amazing people with a big heart. Thank you.
